Are you considering breeding your pet? Do you wonder why you should have your pet sterilized?
It is impossible to determine how many stray dogs and cats live in the United States; estimates for cats alone range up to 70 million.
Ever wonder where shelters get all their animals? Sometimes people let their dogs and cats have litters, and then can't find homes for the babies..

Floridians interested in reducing pet overpopulation can purchase the FLORIDA ANIMAL FRIEND SPAY/NEUTER LICENSE PLATE. The specialty license plate is available at any local County Tax Collectors office. The SPAY/NEUTER LICENSE PLATE has an annual cost of $25.00 above the standard renewal fee.
The great news is that you do not have to wait for your license plate renewal notice; you can replace your current tag at any time! Simply bring your automobile registration and driver’s license to any local County Tax Collectors office and you can walk away with your new SPAY/NEUTER LICENSE PLATE and the knowledge that you will have prevented the birth of an unwanted litter of puppies and kittens. |
Supporting the SPAY/NEUTER LICENSE PLATE will help reduce the number of dogs and cats that are killed simply because they do not have a home. The $25.00 that is raised from each purchase of the SPAY/NEUTER LICENSE PLATE will be distributed through grants to nonprofit and government animal control agencies to fund spay/neuter programs statewide. The goal is to raise enough money to prevent unwanted births of puppies and kittens and thereby reduce the number of animals abandoned on the streets and the number euthanized in shelters.
Florida Animal Friend, Inc. is a coalition of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Animal Control Association, The Humane Society of the United States, and local animal advocates.
